This painting brings together different scenes from German history and culture.
It includes references to the Berlin Wall, Oktoberfest, and the first long-distance car journey in history.
At the center is Bertha Benz, who made the first successful journey by automobile and sent a telegram to her husband, Carl Benz, after arriving safely.

Her courage and determination played a key role in proving that the automobile could work in real life.
The work honors her strength, initiative, and her essential role alongside her husband in one of the great moments of human innovation.

The telegram she sent to her husband reads:
"Lieber Carl. Erste Fernfahrt ist gelungen. Sind gut in Pforzheim angekommen."
English: "Dear Carl. The first long-distance journey was successful. We arrived safely in Pforzheim."
